This cookie has been a tradition in our home for many Christmas’. They are super easy and fun to make. But they are perfect all year round. They pair excellent with a cup of tea and a good book.

1 Cup Sugar
1 Cup Brown Sugar
1 Cup Butter
1 Cup Peanut butter
2 Tsp Vanilla
3 ½ Cups Flour (Recommended: Bob’s Red Mill 1-1 Flour)
3 Tsp Baking Soda
1 Tsp Salt
1 Bag of Candy Kisses
Preheat Oven at 375 – Yields 5 Dozen Cookies (Recipe can be cut in half)
Cream sugars, butter, peanut butter, vanilla and eggs. Set aside. Mix dry ingredients.
Combine dry ingredients a little at a time while adding small amounts of milk to mixture. This part takes a lot of stirring.
Mixture should be stiff when complete.
Shape dough into 1-inch balls, and roll them in sugar.
Bake for 8-10 minutes.
Remove from oven and quickly squish a candy kiss in the center of cookies. Let them continue to bake on cookie sheet.
